San Diego leads nation in rising home prices - Sign On San Diego - 5/10/2010

San Diego County led the nation in rising home values in March even though prices nationwide dropped 3.8 percent, according to a report released today ?by Zillow.com.

The Seattle-based company, which provides consumers with estimates of specific home prices in addition to trends, said San Diego County values rose 3.7 percent to $364,800 compared with March 2009.

California homebuyer tax credit going, going - Mercury News - 5/5/10

The popular state homebuyer tax credit returned Saturday after running out of money last year in just four months. But if you're interested in obtaining the tax break to help reduce the cost of buying a home, you better act fast.

Funding for the credit could be used up within three weeks, said Michael Tessaro, a Realtor with East Bay brokerage J. Rockcliff Realtors and a director with the California Association of Realtors.
